Kern County Animal Control in California has some tips of things you should watch out for if you have pets during this wild time.
A few of these items include:
-Keep pets inside when trick or treating
-Keep pets away from trick or treaters because they can easily get frightened and feel threatened.
-Do not let pets eat candy, it is very harmful to them.
-If you do put your pet in a costume, make sure he or she likes it and it is not too tight!
-Watch out for candy wrappers, they can cause intestinal blockage.
-Make sure to keep your pets away from decorations that they could eat and alcoholic beverages!
Halloween is a very fun time, but pets can get nervous when their daily routine is interrupted.
We would not want anything bad to happen if we can prevent it!
