T.I.'s Clothing Ad Too Racy?

Who new residents of Newark were so prude?

Looks like the new ad for rapper T.I.’s clothing line, AKOO, is causing many heads to spin.

The ad, which features a lady’s head near a guy’s unbuttoned jeans is leading many to say the ad is inappropriate.

According to a Rutgers marketing professor, ├óΓé¼┼ôWhat├óΓé¼Γäós the message here? ├óΓé¼╦£If I wear these clothes more women will want to have sex with me.’├óΓé¼┬¥

But even City Council President Mildred Crump is upset.

Says Crump, “I’m so sick of people seeing Newark as a place where they can do whatever they want. They think they can put it in a black community and nobody is going to say or do anything.”

Is race really an issue with this ad? Cause we’ve seen plenty of skimpier and sexier ads before. What’s so bad about this one…

For all anyone knows, the sexy lady might just be helping her guy pal remove his pants.

Even Mayor Corey Booker commented, “So often when I am out in the community I see kids wearing their pants too low… I will work with my city council to see if we can address it so we don’t see these types of advertisements displayed in our city in the near future.”

Do U think people are overreacting about the ad?
