Ugh! Holding someone hostage was not James Cameron‘s vision!
But try and tell that to Edflar Mendes! He’s the British artist who allegedly wanted to hold Beata Lipska hostage …so he could “draw her forever!”
We wish we were joking…
Apparently the two had been working together in a nightclub. And one night after a shift, the topic of Titanic came up! Typical late-night convo…
Eddy offered to recreate the film’s famous drawing, using Beata as his muse. A little hesitant, she agreed and went up to his flat. But as soon as he finished, she was trapped!
Eddy pinned her down to the bed and wouldn’t let go! Beata claims he began to scream at her:
“Eddy asked me to move on to the bed because it was easier for him to use his pallet and brushes. [Then] he was on the bed, sitting on top of me, holding my arms. He was saying no one would see me again, I was fighting for my life.”
OMG!! HOW TERRIFYING!!
We don’t know what’s worse. Getting rocked by an iceberg or dealing with that kind of trauma-inducing nightmare!!
Thank goodness she was finally able to fight him off! Eventually, she was able to escape and call the cops. Can you imagine being the officer who receives that call of duty?? Yeesh…
As of Wednesday, the trial continues. Eddy maintains his innocence, claiming false imprisonment.
But don’t worry, we’ll never let go keep you updated! 😉
