Fans of TNT’s crime drama The Closer, rejoice!
The network has reportedly ordered additional episodes of the Kyra Sedgwick series, AND it looks like they’ll either continue the series after Kyra leaves OR they might create a Sedgwick-less spin-off show.
As far as the final season is concerned, once they get the OK from Sedgwick, they’ll be adding 6 episodes to make it a 21 episode season, after which they’re looking to make a 9 episode post-Kyra order for The Closer…or a spin-off.
Guess we’ll see what they end up doing with the show. If they can bring back the Closer writers, maybe they could make a quality spin-off, but we’re admittedly skeptical.
