Did you know that Tobey Maguire is a vegan?
He’s been a vegetarian for over 14 years but has been a vegan for the past 2.
Tobey has even gone as far as to ban any leather in his house.
While living in Australia during filming of his new movie The Great Gatsby, he was given a Mercedes to drive around.
Problem was it had leather seats.
So he sent it back!
They replaced his car because he says the smell of leather makes him sick.
Tobey said about his veganism:
“I don├óΓé¼Γäót eat eggs, or nearly any dairy ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ no cheese or milk. I do eat honey and a piece of milk chocolate here and there. It├óΓé¼Γäós never really been that hard for me… I├óΓé¼Γäóve never had any desire to eat meat. In fact, when I was a kid I would have a really difficult time eating meat at all.
It had to be the perfect bite, with no fat or gristle or bone or anything like that. I don├óΓé¼Γäót judge people who eat meat ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ that├óΓé¼Γäós not for me to say ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ but the whole thing just sort of bums me out.”
Kinda weird to think about that every time you ride in a car with leather seats, you’re sitting on top of a dead, skinned cow.
Gross!
