Anyway, it’s National Doughnut Day!
Dunkin├óΓé¼Γäó Donuts, which isn’t really out here in El Lay, is giving out free doughnuts with the purchase of a beverage.
Krispy Kreme, however, is giving customers free doughnuts just because you walked in ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ no purchase required. And yes, there’s a Krispy Kreme in Burbank!
According to National Donut Day organizers (that job exists, apparently), the annual celebration has been held on the first Friday of June since 1938.
The day was created by the Salvation Army to honor women who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I — we had no idea it’s been around that long!
Cool!
And, free doughnuts!
