Toledo Can't Even With This Giant Red Ball Terrorizing Its Streets! Watch The Hilarity Ensue!

This is too funny!
This is something you literally have to see to believe. And then once you see it you won’t be able to stop laughing.
This week, a giant red ball was seen rolling through the streets of Toledo, Ohio. Yes, you did read that correctly. A 15-foot-wide, 250-pound red sphere was out of control as it rolled through the city’s downtown area.

As it turns out, the runaway object was actually part of an installation at the Toledo Museum of Art.
It had been comfortably sitting in its rightful spot — between a jewelry store and a restaurant — for the museum’s Redball Project exhibit, that is until it broke free with a little help from a thunderstorm!
And luckily for web surfers everywhere, one Instagram user caught the whole thing on camera!
The museum’s communications director revealed just how the big ball was able to make its great escape:

“It started pouring rain, so the ball was wet and slippery. The wind picked up, and it popped up and just started going. You can see in the video that’s going viral that it rolled about halfway down a block and then mysteriously took a left-hand turn. It made its way partially down the street before people caught up with it.”

Somehow — even though it rolled over a couple cars — the only thing that was damaged was a street sign. The artist behind the ball explained how something so heavy was able to cause such little destruction:

“In the 10 years of this installation, nothing like this has ever happened. We’re just glad no one was hurt. It’s a huge soft ball that doesn’t crush things. However like a boat with lots of sail and no rudder, it can really move in high winds.”

You guys REALLY need to watch this video (below)!
