Legendary newsman Tom Brokaw just revealed that he has cancer!!!
Apparently the author, journalist, & NBC News Special Correspondent was diagnosed with multiple myeloma — a cancer that affects blood cells in bone marrow — way back in August at the Mayo Clinic.
Ugh!!! What a horribly unfortunate turn of events!
Thankfully, the 74-year-old South Dakota native hasn’t let the bad medical news get him down. Tom is DETERMINED to kick cancer’s ass!!
In the statement he released today, he revealed:
├óΓé¼┼ôWith the exceptional support of my family, medical team and friends, I am very optimistic about the future and look forward to continuing my life, my work and adventures still to come… I remain the luckiest guy I know… I am very grateful for the interest in my condition but I also hope everyone understands I wish to keep this a private matter.├óΓé¼┬¥
