It’s totally normal to orchestrate a clandestine meeting with your 10-year-old daughter, right?
As if Tom Cruise‘s relationship with Suri Cruise couldn’t get any stranger, Us Weekly has put out a report suggesting the actor organized a secret meeting with the little girl over the summer. The bizarre news comes on the heels of a rumors that Tom hasn’t seen his kid in YEARS.

Per the article, the actor supposedly flew Suri and her nanny over to England for a five day trip while he filmed Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.
What’s interesting is, the vacation also happened to fall on Cruise’s 54th birthday in July. We only bring that detail up in light of the fact that Tom allegedly did NOT attend any of the kiddo’s recent birthdays. Talk about great parenting!
One insider said of the hush hush meeting:
“He didn’t want word to get out, so everything was treated very discreetly.”
So strange! We wonder if Tom was discreet due to Scientology’s suppressive person policy or because he didn’t want any media attention on the estrangement.
Despite all the drama surrounding his relationship with Suri, the confidante claims she is a “special part” of his life.
… um, don’t you have to be IN someone’s life for you to be a “special part” of it?
Either way, we’re glad the little one has Katie Holmes for a momma. Those two have the most adorable relationship!
