Widow Of Dead Crew Member From Tom Cruise's Mena Movie Sues Over Fatal Plane Crash

Last year, Alan Purwin was killed in a small plane crash during the last day of filming for Tom Cruise‘s upcoming movie, Mena.
The seasoned Hollywood stunt pilot had been working on the Pablo Escobar flick, and was a passenger on on the aircraft when it went down.

Now, his widow is suing the production company for damages.
Kathryn’s complaint against Cross Creek Pictures says Carlos Berl — who had been flying the plane at the time and also died in the accident — did not have the “necessary skills” to be piloting during the severe weather.
In addition to damages, she is also seeking funeral expenses from Cross Creek.
