As we’ve reported, the entire cast for the movie version of the Broadway musical Rock of Ages gathered in Miami today to do a read-through of the script with director Adam Shankman before production officially kicks off!
As Catherine Zeta-Jones was the only hold-out – due to her commitment to another project – sources present have told PerezHilton.com EXCLUSIVELY that Gloria Estefan filled in for her as the Mayor’s wife.
But that wasn’t the only surprise!
Even though it was only a read-through and no one else was costumed, Tom Cruise, who will be playing rock star Stacee Jaxx, arrived DRESSED IN CHARACTER in full-on rocker regalia!
We’re told that it was a heavy metal grunge look, but Tom just basically looked like the spitting image of Bret Michaels!
A-EFFING-MAZING! Oh maaaaaan!
Leave it to him to act like a crazy person go full-on method!
Atta’ boy! We cannot WAIT to see his new ‘look’ for ourself! Ha!
