It seems like it’s been forever since we last saw Meg Ryan on Tom Hanks onscreen together for the THIRD time in You’ve Got Mail, but thanks to Ryan’s directorial debut, the two veteran actors will be reunited again!
The 54-year-old actress has completed directing her first film Ithaca — a drama about a teenager who supports his widowed mother by working as a telegraph messenger during World War II — and she got her old pal Tom to do a small part!

The actress gushed about Hanks, who only appears in a quick scene as Ryan’s deceased husband, saying:
“He’s just so dear. He so did not have to do that. At the end of his time, he says to the crew, ├óΓé¼╦£All right, gather ├óΓé¼╦£round. Listen, I know we’ve gotten to know each other very well over the last 10 hours together, but I just want to thank you for being here for my friend Meg.'”
