Last week’s gossip magazines saw higher profits than they have had in years. Since the split, covers featuring Katie and her ex-husband have been selling faster than you can say “Poor Xenu.” Even Russell Brand is enjoying the juice!
Last week, People slung 1.4 million copies of a Tom & Katie cover. That’s an 27% increase of what they sold on average in 2011!
In Touch and Us Weekly also saw souring sales with a breakup cover story.
Howeves, the poor mags that didn’t have “Katie’s Courage” or “Is Tom Suicidal? ” on the cover bombed!
OK!, who cover featured Jennifer Aniston turning down a proposal, and Life & Style, whose cover was all about Kate Middleton feuding with the Queen, suffered big time!
