Toni Braxton‘s financial situation has just gone from bad…to worse!
On top of being bankrupt, now she’s facing a lawsuit from the trustee of her bankruptcy estate. She’s being accused of fraudulently transferring $53,490 to her estranged husband, Keri Lewis, so she could avoid paying back creditors.
Her rep, however, says the allegations aren’t true and explained:
“All of the payments made to Lewis prior to Toni├óΓé¼Γäós bankruptcy filing were appropriate transfers for reasonable and necessary personal and business expenses in the ordinary course of her business.”
As of October 2010, the singer owed somewhere between $10 and $50 million to various creditors and has since picked up a reality television show to pay the bills.
Earlier this year, the producers of the WEtv show were sued by an advertising company spreading promos for Braxton Family Values around the country.
