Toni Braxton Thinks God Is Punishing Her By Giving Her Son Autism, All Because She Had An Abortion

Toni Braxton only recently opened up about some of her darkest moments.
In her new book Unbreak My Heart: A Memoir, Toni details some of the toughest times in her life.
In it, she opens up about her secret abortion she had ten years ago. She had every reason to terminate the pregnancy (she was on a prescription that could’ve caused birth defects), and a whole bunch of people would NEVER blame her, but she still feels guilty.
She said:

“I was suddenly faced with a choice I’d never thought I’d have to make. Amid my major misgivings about abortion, I eventually made the gut-wrenching decision├óΓé¼┬ª In my heart, I believed I had taken a life ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ an action that I thought God might one day punish me for. ├óΓé¼┬ª My initial rage was quickly followed by another strong emotion: guilt. I knew I’d taken a life├óΓé¼┬ª I believed God’s payback was to give my son autism.”

That’s so awful she feels that way!
Her son Diezel was born with autism and she think it’s because she’s being punished?? That’s not what religion is about and that’s not how medical biology works.
Toni has some other less than popular opinions about where her son’s autism came from, saying:

“Maybe it’s just a coincidence that after my son’s first MMR vaccine, I began to notice changes in him.”

A whole lot of people — and the scientific community — might be upset to hear that. Some people might agree. We just hope that Toni one day realizes that sometimes things just happen, and the blame can’t be placed anywhere.
Our heart breaks for her, and we hope she might stop seeing Autism as a punishment down the road.
