Tony Hawk is arguably the most famous skateboarder to have ever lived — his name is known in households that couldn’t even tell you what a skateboard is! LOLz!
Now, he’s being honored for being such a badass in the sport!
The deck that started it all, Tony’s first ever skateboard, is finding a home in the Smithsonian! You can see a photo of it (above), because Tony just posted it!
Honestly — and we’re gonna sound like Indian Jones here — we think that thing BELONGS in a museum! We’re sure it’s worth a fortune right now, and we’re happy Tony went this route instead of just trying to make a quick buck!
The funny thing is, this will be the second Tony Hawk board in the museum! He donated one of his faves that he rode in 1987 a few years ago!
