We had no idea!
Sources are reporting that 30 Rock actor Tracy Morgan will be absent from a handful of episodes this spring, as he’s missed filming due to recovering from surgery this past month.
Apparently, just like fellow costar Grizz Chapman, Tracy had to undergo a kidney transplant on or around Dec. 10. Though the surgery was successful, the writers and execs collectively decided to give him time to rest.
A representative for Tracy released this statement:
“Tracy is doing well and taking some much needed time to recover after the surgery. He is looking forward to going back to work after the holidays.”
Steps are already being taken by Tina Fey and Co. to explain his absence, which is for at least two or three episodes.
That’s not too bad. He should get some rest – his health is really what’s most important!
