Tragedy Strikes Oprah Winfrey's South African School

So sad.
We hate having to write about things like this.
Regretfully we have to report that a tragedy has come up at the school Oprah Winfrey opened in South Africa in 2007. It’s being reported that a dead newborn baby was found on the grounds.
Here’s part of what happened:

“Tragedy has struck close to Oprah Winfrey, as South African authorities Friday said the body of a dead newborn baby was found on the grounds of the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls in Johannesburg, South Africa. Local police Captain Shado Mashobane said that a 17-year-old student at the institution on Wednesday “gave birth to the baby at the school, but we can’t confirm what happened to it. A case of concealment of death is being investigated.””
“The young mother was hospitalized after giving birth, police said.”

This is horrible. There has yet to be a statement from Oprah herself, but we’re sure she’ll have something to say soon enough.
Our hearts go out to the child who lost its life, and to the mother in the hospital.
We’ll try and keep you updated.
