Eva Lorgoria is using her star power to make a difference!
The Desparate Housewives cutie produced a documentary, entitled The Harvest/La Cosecha to spread awareness about the (currently) 400,000 children forced to leave their schools and homes to work as migrant workers with their families.
The film provides an
“intimate glimpse into the lives of these children who struggle to dream while working 12 ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ 14 hours a day, 7 days a week to feed America.”
Eva, who is no stranger to activism, said this should be important to EVERYONE! According to Eva:
├óΓé¼┼ôAs human beings, you have to be responsible about where your food came from and who picked it. In a small way, you can always eat organic because that means that person that picked your food wasn’t subjected to pesticides. So, if you eat produce, this issue affects you.”
