A very solid start for what promises to be a profitable July 4th weekend!
Between special 3D screenings in the evening and midnight showings, Transformers: Dark of the Moon managed to gross $13.5 million yesterday! Wowsa!
The evening screenings brought in $5.5 million, while the midnight showings brought in $8 mill.
Very impressive…although surprisingly enough, the less-than-fantastic Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen actually grossed $16 MILLION during midnight shows.
Hmm…even though the trailers for this one looked pret-ty solid, maybe some people were still scared to return to the franchise after that dreadful sequel. Ah well.
Dark of the Moon is expected to rake in $155 to $165 million through July 4th. If we had to guess, we’d say that’s very likely to happen.
Did U see Transformers: Dark of the Moon last night? If so, what did U think of it?
