Travis Scott has no ill will towards Cardi B, despite what it may have looked like on his new Netflix documentary, Look Mom I Can Fly!
The doc, which dropped earlier this week, shows a portion where Travis is visibly upset about the fact that Cardi took home the Grammy award for Best Rap Album back in February. And as we’ve been reporting earlier this week, those who have seen the doc have been wondering whether Travis’ emotion was directed at Cardi — as in, assuming he was mad at the Bodak Yellow superstar for stealing his thunder!

According to TMZ, sources close to Travis report that the anger and emotion during the Grammys was NOT personal, and it was NOT at all directed at Cardi B. Apparently, his emotions surfaced in the way that they did simply “because of all the hard work he put into his Astroworld album … and he just really wanted to win, plain and simple.” Well then!
It turns out that Travis and Cardi have both been “super cool” with each other since then — even going so far as to have her hubby Offset make an appearance at the premiere of Scott’s doc on Wednesday. That’s a nice touch! And sources are now reporting this weekend that there’s no bad blood anywhere here… just a simple misunderstanding of where the Astroworld rapper’s anger was being directed at the point where he got mad about the Grammys. We get it!!
Furthermore, those same insiders are claiming that Travis got over the loss very, very quickly — he apparently just got lost in the moment and got mad about it in the part that got shown in the documentary because he had worked so hard to get to that point. Understandable!
Of course, as we’ve been reporting this week, Cardi has been hard at work on social media defending herself against some of Travis’ more aggressive fans who either don’t believe this reporting, or haven’t seen it yet.
At one point, the young mom clapped back at everyone calling her out in a series of tweets, writing (below):
“I wasn’t even thinking of winning or even the Grammies. All I can think about was…everybody is disappointed in me, am I still going to have a career after this baby? Is this album going to make me or break me ? I need to finish before I start showing … So when I won a Grammy for it I didn’t have no words to say but when I went home I started reminiscing on what I went thru during that period I was like YEA BITCH YOU DESERVE THIS SHIT! And until this day my shit still charting.”
Wow!!!!
Cardi B just tells it like it is, doesn’t she?
But more to the point, we can pretty much confirm it now: no feud and no bad blood here! It’s all good, y’all!!!
