Now this is how you give an answer!
The winner of the final season of American Idol, Trent Harmon, is faring far better than the show’s runner-up, La’Porsha Renae, after she was embroiled in a scandal over saying some pretty unwelcome things about LGBT people.

And while Renae pays the price for those comments, Harmon is doing things the right way — and that means knowing exactly what to say and how to behave when he gets asked a question about gay rights!
Speaking to TV Guide, the singing sensation shared his very level-headed thoughts on his home state of Mississippi’s blatant anti-gay legislation, as well as his runner-up’s response (below):
“You know, I was brought up in church. I still go to church. Found a church just around the corner from here and went, and I’m glad I got to go. But I was brought up to treat everyone equally. I come from a restaurant background, and anybody that walks into our restaurant, they can eat there. And I think that you should treat all people equally and respectfully, and that’s what I do, and that’s what I’m going to continue to do no matter what law is passed. That’s where I stand on it. Love all people. Period.”
Preach!!!
Harmon knows exactly what to say, and he knows exactly what’s right! Loving it!
