But on Thursday, the 31-year-old took to Twitter to update fans on his condition, and let the popular program’s faithful followers know that he’ll be returning to that night’s show.
He wrote:
Thank you for your love and support. The Daily Show is back on today but I can’t stand up. Tune in 11pm Comedy Central.

We’re sad that the funny man still isn’t one-hundred percent better, but we’re really relieved that he feels well enough after the scary surgery to go back on the air!
When news first broke that the late-night personality was hospitalized, Jimmy Fallon used the status-sharing site to wish Trevor well, and joked about his own recent injuries, saying:
Hey @Trevornoah, tell everyone at the hospital I said hey! Get better soon buddy!

The South Africa native proved he had a good sense of humor about the procedure, quipping back:
Hey Jimmy. The hospital people said to tell you “wrong finger, come back”? Not sure what that means. https://t.co/9acIwdsCUt
