The creator of a hit reality TV show in Turkey is saying that Ryan Seacrest‘s new NBC show, Momma’s Boy, stole his idea!
Luftu Murat Uckardesler filed papers with a Manhattan federal court claiming that NBC Universal and Ryan Seacreast Productions “willfully appropriated” the format of his popular Perfect Bride.
Did his “perfect brides” also feature a few porn stars?
The Turkish show debuted in 2004 with an “unprecedented” ratings record of 72 percent shares of the audience.
His lawyer, Evans Anyanwu, is going to argue to bar the new show from broadcasting until the matter is resolved.
In response NBC said the network hasn’t yet seen the suit, but “is familiar with the plaintiffs’ allegations, which are entirely without merit.”
Good luck with that one, Turkish dude!
