She may have been snubbed from directing The Twilight Saga: New Moon, but that won’t stop Catherine Hardwicke from making a movie about wolves.
Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way production company is producing a “gothic” retelling of the classic fable Little Red Riding Hood called The Girl in the Red Riding Hood and Catherine has just been announced as the movie’s director.
She’s an excellent choice for the position, as the new retelling is being called a “werewolf movie with a teenage love triangle at its centre”. Obviously, Catherine is no stranger to mythical teen romances.
So basically, it’s New Moon without vampires, meaning without Robert Pattinson. But who would want to see that?!
