Tweet, tweet!
After the success of The Social Network, we all had a little inkling that other social networks would follow suit, right?
Well, Twitter is teaming up with Lionsgate TV and they’re in talks to lay a movie for television soon!
According to Lionsgate TV Group chairman Kevin Beggs, the TV film Hatching Twitter will be based upon its book counterpart that was named one of the best books of 2013!
Kevin explained why Hatching Twitter is a good idea:

“Twitter has transformed almost every aspect of our lives from politics to business to friendship, and I can├óΓé¼Γäót think of a more compelling story to adapt for television right now. Nick Bilton├óΓé¼Γäós book has all the elements of a great drama with its complex characters, high-stakes power struggles and betrayed friendships, and we├óΓé¼Γäóre extremely fortunate to have Alli Shearmur onboard as executive producer.├óΓé¼┬¥

Ooh! Sounds juicy and full of dramz already!
Alli Shearmur, the executive producer of the film, revealed some details about the movie, saying:

“Hatching Twitter will go behind the scenes of a groundbreaking Silicon Valley company in a way that’s never been captured before on television. The Social Network was a perfect film, and this series will be different, providing a longer view of the work life changes, gamesmanship and personal sacrifices made by a group of individuals who are building a company that will change the way that people communicate.”

The social media platform has definitely changed the way people communicate and how they get their breaking news.
Twitter has become one of the highly used social networks of today, and we cannot wait to see how Hatching Twitter will play out on TV!
