CBS has picked up Twitter sensation Shit My Dad Says and intends to develop it into a multi-camera sitcom!
The account was started by Justin Halpern, a 28-year old that had to move back in with his parents in San Diego and Tweets his dad’s colorful and profane quotes.
Some examples are:
“Sometimes life leaves a hundred-dollar bill on your dresser, and you don’t realize until later that it’s because it fucked you”
“The baby will talk when he talks, relax. It ain’t like he knows the cure for cancer and he just ain’t spitting it out.”
“Why the fuck would I want to live to 100? I’m 73 and shit’s starting to get boring. By the way, there’s no money left when I go, just fyi”
It does bring the LOLs!
Shit My Dad Says only launched in August and now has over 700,000 followers and a book deal with Harper Collins!!
Will & Grace‘s David Kohan and Max Mutchnick are set to executive produce and supervise writing for the family comedy.
