Tyler Cameron is setting the record straight about his summer romance with Gigi Hadid, once and for all!
A few weeks ago, we told you of reports the Bachelorette star and his supermodel bae were “no longer together” after their short-lived flame fizzled out. The news initially came from sources “close to the situation” who left us salivating for more details, but on Monday, Cameron stopped by People TV‘s Reality Check and gave us a long-awaited, definitive confirmation about what went down between our favorite former couple!

In the interview, the 26-year-old male model spoke highly of Hadid when asked about the best part of their relationship together. He said:
“Just meeting someone that was great. She’s a great person, and I met a great friend. She’s someone that I have a lot of respect for and think highly of, so I met a great person.”
Here we go again with all that talk of being just “friends.”
So, if the two were such great buddies, why didn’t things work out between them? Cameron finally admitted:
“I took it as I met a great person, a great friend. It wasn’t like a bad breakup or anything like that. It was just, we’re at different parts of our lives right now.”
Ahh. Two ridiculously good-looking lovers on different paths. Another Hollywood love story bites the dust!
But we guess it’s nice to hear there’s no bad blood left between ’em. They’re both still young and beautiful with their whole lives ahead of them to find love! Who knows, maybe even with each other again later down the line.

Although the pair is no longer an item, the former reality TV star assured he and Hadid are still friendly whenever they happen to run into one another. Putting it simply, he added:
“We’re just friends.”
Hannah Brown‘s ex continued, candidly opening up about how much he’s changed since the amicable split (below):
“I’m still learning so much about myself every day. Being in this light is totally different, so I’m still learning.”
We agree — It’s probably a good idea to take this time to chill and learn about himself between his next romantic endeavor!
As for the future, Tyler said he’s still very much open to dating but “just in the right time.” He noted:
“I’m open to dating anybody, public eye or not.”
And cue the sound of women rejoicing everywhere! LOLz.
