One of the most popular Bachelorette contestants in recent memory is speaking out about the death of his mother… and we can’t even imagine what he’s been going through.

The entire tragic ordeal started late last week, when the Bachelor Nation alum was forced to cancel a scheduled appearance on Good Morning America. At the time, he tweeted to his fans that he’d been dealing with a family emergency, and asked everyone to “please pray for my mom and my family.” According to Hollywood Life, who tracked social media posts from family friends, Andrea was first hospitalized on Friday, February 28 at a facility in Florida. She apparently passed away the very next day; at this point, it’s unclear what caused her death.
Regardless, the former college football star opened up about losing his mom with a very difficult post on IG late last night.
“Today heaven gained an angel,” the 27-year-old male model wrote to open up the emotional post.
He continued:
“We will love and miss our mother dearly. She will live on through us and through those that she has had an impact on. While we grieve, we ask for two things: First, tell those you love that you love them; and second, please let us take this time to celebrate her life in private. Thank you for all of your love and support. ❤️”
Wow. Very, very sad stuff.
He also shared a picture of what appears to be his mom’s hand being held by several family members, as you can see (below):
Ugh. Just awful… We can’t even imagine what he and his family must be going through right now.

As expected, according to E! News, a source close to the fam confirmed that the reality TV star and his two brothers are “distraught” and “devastated” over their mother’s death.
The insider added more, too, saying:
“They are all very distraught and heartbroken. It’s an awful situation and all of the boys were very close to their mother. [Tyler is] trying to be there for his younger brothers.”
That breaks our heart. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tyler and his family, especially his younger brothers, as they navigate this difficult and uncertain period of their lives. R.I.P., Momma Cameron…
