And she shouldn’t have to either!
If you recall, Tyra Banks received some pretty harsh criticism in 2006 after a picture surfaced of her looking less than perfect in a one-piece bathing suit.
As a result, the supermodel-turned-television personality decided it was time to be more health conscious and lost 20 pounds with the help of her colleagues!
├óΓé¼┼ôWe all made a pact to do a three-month health-and-fitness challenge, ” she shares in a Life & Style interview hitting newsstands nationwide this Friday.
Her slimmer figure did not make her as happy as she thought it would and she quickly regretted losing what made her sexy in the first place — her curves!
├óΓé¼┼ôI didn├óΓé¼Γäót like myself that small, so I gained back some weight,” she shares.
Now the 37-year-old has accepted that she doesn’t have to look like she did 15 years ago, exclaiming:
├óΓé¼┼ôI├óΓé¼Γäóm proud of my curves and my butt and my bust and my thicker thighs.”
Instead of obsessing over everything she eats, she simply eats in moderation and stays active. It sounds like she’s even used the bathing suit controversy as inspiration for her first novel, Modelland, due out in September. The message of the story, she says, “is really about expanding the definition of beauty.”
