Tyra Banks is bringing back the remix, y’all!
The producer-actress behind the reboot Life Size 2 decided to give the original movie’s iconic theme song an update, complete with a new beat and some “dusted off vocals” that did not disappoint.

Banks enlisted the help of artist Janine the Machine and newcomer New Fear’s Eve to take what she calls a “nursery rhyme” to club-banger status with trap beats and new verses, telling EW:
“It’s like a remix. You know the Diana Ross song ‘I’m Coming Out’ and how [The Notorious B.I.G. and] Puff Daddy did it over [in ‘Mo Money Mo Problems’]? It’s like that, or when Jay-Z did ‘Hard Knock Life. So there’s that original song and that chorus, and they have some fun with it in the verses.”
This remix is rap-heavy bop that’s fun to listen to, while still reminding us to be a star and shine bright. Sure, there’s a ton of auto-tune happening but we’re kind of into it. Have a listen for yourself (below):
As for her character Eve, the former American’s Next Top Model host says the barbie-doll come to life is just as important and relatable today as she was back in 2000 when the original premiered:
“Eve is like that big shot of self-esteem and that big shot of don’t dull your shine. A lot of girls are dulling their shine today trying to make other people feel more comfortable or just not realizing their potential… Eve’s here to show [Grace] you can be that boss bitch.”
Yas queen! We can’t wait to see what other changes to the original are made. Make sure y’all are ready for when Life Size 2 premieres on Freeform on December 2.
Perezcious readers, what do U think of the remix? Tell us!
