Tyra Banks Reveals She Lost Her Home In The LA Fires - And Found Out About It While In Australia

Tyra Banks is among the thousands of Claifornians who lost their homes in the LA fires.

The America’s Next Top Model alum stopped by Australia’s morning show Sunrise on Sunday and opened up about her connection to the disastrous infernos… She was “one of them” who lost their homes! She explained:

“Yes, I lost my house. I haven’t really talked about it, but yeah, I have.”

So heartbreaking! But the 51-year-old was apprehensive to talk about it when so many others are going through the same:

“I just didn’t want to pull a lot of attention to me. I feel like there’s a lot of people that need that attention so I haven’t really talked about it, but I can’t sit here and not tell the truth. Yeah, we lost our house.”

Tyra noted she and BF Louis Bélanger-Martin were in Australia partying at a friend’s place when her house went up in flames:

“We were at a friend’s house here and we were celebrating and just having fun and I just kept checking my phone. Not for my house but just for friends and family, making sure they were evacuating and everything. And then I asked my partner, I was like, ‘I’m seeing something here, what do you think?’ And he [nodded]. And I just pulled it together and just didn’t say anything to my friends and just stayed in that moment, and then we went home and we cried and had our moment.”

How rough… At least Tyra wasn’t in LA at the time and forced to try and find living accommodations after being displaced like so many others.

The mother of one went on to add she lost almost everything:

“We brought a lot of things here — we’re between here and New York, so a lot of those mementos are here and in New York, so I didn’t lose that, thank goodness. There were some mementos that we lost, but yeah, it’s tough.”

So devastating!
