Tyra's Looking For The Next Plus-Size Teen Model

Here we go again.

Tyra Banks is on the hunt for another top model.

The soon to be ex-daytime talk show hostess announced on Monday that she is launching “Tyra’s Fiercely Real Teen Model Search”.

TyTy is looking for young ladies between 13 to 19 standing who are 5’9″ to 6’1″ and wear size 12 and up.

The winner will land a year modeling contract with a major agency, a fashion spread in Tyra’s MagaLine and well as a cover photo with the weaved wonder as well as a spread in a major fashion magazine.

With the new model search Tyra hopes to change the negative connotation associated with being plus-size. She explains:

“I want young girls to realize that what’s considered plus-sized is the average American woman. That woman is healthy, fit and beautiful. Adolescence is such an impressionable time in a young woman’s life, and I hope this contest helps teen girls discover their own beauty from the inside out.”

So long as the teens are healthy, we think this is a pretty good idea.
