Tyrese Gibson feels like he REALLY has to speak his mind on this one!
The model and movie star opened up to fans this week, venting his frustrations towards Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson‘s recently-released film Hobbs And Shaw, which didn’t do so well at the box office. That’s right, ya’ll — bring out the boxing gloves, because it appears this long-simmering celeb feud, which had been dormant for some time, may be back on in full force!

Though he quickly deleted the offending post off his Instagram page on Monday, Tyrese’s words were captured in a screenshot by The Shade Room, as you can see (below):
Uh-oh!!!!
In full, and in seemingly angry fashion, the 40-year-old wrote (below):
“I have to show my respects for one thing. He tried…Folks called me a hater. And attacked me for speaking out … Breaking up the family clearly doesn’t have the value that one would assume it does. You know what maybe just maybe The Rock and the crew will come dance with us again for #Fast10. We can all hug it out and get back to giving the true fans who have supported this franchise for 20 years WHAT they want. Not hating, I’m just pointing out the facts … #FastFamily has more value as the #FastFamily its ok … The Rock is still one of the biggest movie start in the world and he’s not hurting for work … I have 2 franchise and he has at least 15 so there won’t be any tears on his pillow tonight … 180 million dollar global opening on Hobbs an dShaw is NOT a win … In this day and age where everyone wants to be safe and sit on their hands and not speak on real shit … When you do you get attacked and well … that’s that … Again my respects cause he tried his best … The world is clearly used to being severed [sic] its thanksgiving mea a certain way … they want the table to “include” all its flavors and all of its usual ingredients … The Rock comes from wrestling and he knows all about smack talking and friendly competition … So … love is love … -Roman has spoken …”
Wow! Quite a bit to take in, there.
Obviously, context matters here. As you probably remember, back in 2017 it was announced The Rock’s Hobbs character from the Fast and Furious franchise was getting a spin-off film. Because of this, the ninth installment of the series was pushed back a bit, in order to film and release The Rock’s project.
Tyrese didn’t take too kindly to the news at the time, accusing Johnson of messing with his money and trying to break up the “#FastFamily” along the way. He posted a ton of rants on IG back then, trying to bait the former wrestler into a feud. It didn’t really work, and most people forget about the “feud” pretty quickly, but evidently the action star can hold a grudge. So, here we are again. Some things never change!
Anyways, the poppa of one must have thought better about things this time, because he quickly deleted his original criticism and opted to publish a new pic to his IG account, with a caption asking fans to “stay quiet and act like nothing happened.”
Hmmm…
Here’s the new pic (below):
Quite the walk-back from before, isn’t it, Perezcious readers?!
What do y’all think of the resurgence of Tyrese’s little feud with The Rock here? Does it matter how well (or how poorly) Hobbs and Shaw did at the box office?! Do you care at all about it — and should Gibson even care??
Sound OFF about everything in the comments (below)…
