So, that’s crazy.
But let’s look at both sides of the issue. Sure, it’s stupid that not smoking pot with Tupac is Mike Tyson’s only regret (drugs are bad, Mike!). However, it does imply, and the interview with Mike confirms, that they had a very deep relationship with one another, to the point where the only regret would be something trivial like not smoking together.
Tupac and Tyson’s relationship goes a long way back, but it was when they both spent time in prison that they became close. In fact, Tupac was shot after he went to see Tyson at a fight.
“I felt extremely guilty because I felt if he didn’t come to this fight, that would have never have happened. It’s just so crazy that we had talked every day for a week.”
Tyson defends Tupac and insists that despite all of the problems in his life, he was a good person at heart.
“He was probably a misguided warrior. He had a heart as big as this planet. He had so much love and compassion, and you couldn’t even see it under his rage.”
While Mike Tyson has lived a tumultuous life and has not always made the best decisions, he seems to be gaining some perspective on things as he gets older, and despite all of the reasons there are to hate MIke Tyson, there’s at least one to like him.
