U2 To Give A Ton Of Money To Irish Music Schools

Way to go, U2.

The band has announced that they will be providing about $7.2 million through 2015 to help fund music schools for Irish children.

When the band heard the news that the government was cutting spending on education to save $8.6 billion, they decided to make the large donation so that schools can get musical equipment and hire teachers to tutor children.

About 50% of the funds will go towards projects developed by local groups like Music Generation and the Vocational Education Authority in County Silgo.

Fantastic! We applaud you! Music education is extremely important for kids. Such a wonderful outlet for them. Good work, gentlemen.
