Cristiano Ronaldo had surgery on his right ankle in Amsterdam on Monday.
Why Amsterdam?
The Portuguese superstar soccer stud, who plays for Manchester United, revealed after last month’s European Championship that he had been playing in pain for the last three months.
“The initial indications are that the procedure was successful,” said Manchester United in an official statement. “Cristiano will begin his convalescence under the direction of club medical staff and an estimation of his return to full fitness will be possible following review by the specialist in one month,”
Many speculate that he’ll probably miss the start of the English pro soccer season next month.
Despite all the Real Madrid transfer talk surrounding Crissy the last few weeks, according to a new report, it looks like he’ll be staying at United for at least one more season.
Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon said Sunday he is not confident about signing Ronnie even if Manchester United consents (which they’ve said many times they would not).
Get well, Ronaldo!
You gotta bring the pretty back on the field real soon!
