Snake Breeder Killed By One Of His Cobras

RIP!

We’ve always said cobra are ungrateful…

A snake conservationist who kept one of Europe’s biggest colonies of king cobras in a compound behind his house died yesterday after one of them bit him.

Luke Yeomans had 24 snakes at his home and was due to open his king cobra sanctuary to the public this weekend.

He had a heart attack after being bitten by one of the snakes, which are among the most poisonous in the world. In an interview recorded a month ago Mr Yeomans, 45, insisted he kept the snakes at his home in Eastwood, Nottingham, to ensure “the survival of the species”.

An associate, a reptiles specialist who did not want to be named, said Mr Yeomans had a ‘cavalier’ attitude, adding:

“It├óΓé¼Γäós my understanding that Luke had recently received some new snakes. It could be that a new snake hadn├óΓé¼Γäót recognised this approach, and that is what made it bite.”

Moral of the story: don’t be a cocky with a snake and puns are awesome!
