Who knew a snowball fight could lead to sooo much D-R-A-M-A!?!
The city of Eugene, Oregon has been hit with a bit of a flurry lately, and from what we can tell, students at the University of Oregon have never seen snow before because they went absolutely bananas!!
What started out as fun-natured snowball fights quickly turned ugly when the Duckies began to block cars that were driving through campus so they could pelt them with snowballs! One of the drivers was UO professor Sherwin Simmons (above), and a video that has now gone viral shows students showering him with snowballs and even dumping a bucket of snow on him as he emerges from his car!
Well needless to say, the video has brought some negative attention to the school, and the dean of students Paul Shang is NOT taking the incident lightly:
“The behavior exhibited in the video is unacceptable and will not be tolerated on our campus. We will use this incident as an opportunity to remind our campus community of the positive values and quality of character that we as a university hold dear.”
Neither of the drivers seen in the video are currently pressing charges, however, spokesperson for the university’s police department Kelly McIver says there’s a chance they could face criminal charges!
He says:
“They can face sanctions – legal sanctions through law enforcement channels – and/or they could be disciplined through the university’s code of conduct”
Campus police are currently looking into the video to try and identify students that were involved in the incident, however they are having a hard time confirming how many students took part in the snowball fight gone wrong!
Obviously the university is hoping to take some disciplinary action to prevent things like this from happening again, but we just hope it doesn’t snow in Eugene again anytime soon, because it seems pretty clear that these guys just can’t handle it!
