A source close to the MLB player is now suggesting that the enhancement drugs Manny Ramirez tested postive for has nothing to do with playing the field…
Or at least the baseball field.
Reports are now coming in claiming that sources confirm that the drugs the outfielder used were to boost his sex drive.
Hmm…sexy!
However, for whatever the reason he did use it, the specific drug he used is still on the Major League’s list of banned substances.
Ramirez won’t be appealing his suspension, which will begin today and last for 50 games, and it will cost him close to $8 million in lost wages.
He released this statement in his defense:
├óΓé¼┼ôRecently I saw a physician for a personal health issue. He gave me a medication, not a steroid, which he thought was okay to give me. Unfortunately, the medication was banned under our drug policy. Under the policy that mistake is now my responsibility. I have been advised not to say anything more for now. I do want to say one other thing; I├óΓé¼Γäóve taken and passed about 15 drug tests over the past five seasons.”
