But some things money and popularity should NOT buy!!
Usher, conscientious citizen he is, made it a point to vote Tuesday in Hotlanta!!
Awesome!! We applaud you for doing your civic duty!!
The only problem?
County officials recognized him and gave him special treatment!
All the other diligent Americans waited in line to cast their vote, but the R&B star was, pardon the pun, ushered ahead of the rest!!
One would-be voter, Alan Christian, waited 45 minutes before the singer showed up and immediately waltzed right on by!
Alan revealed:
“I take the voting process very seriously, and I was just taken aback that this was allowed to happen. At that point, he took his camera out, started taking pictures of himself in the booth, of his card and as he was voting.”
That’s just not fair!!
We understand being a celebrity brings certain perks and warrants special consideration, but that doesn’t automatically make your time more valuable!
Furthermore, Georgia law prohibits taking pictures inside a polling station!!
