In a few short weeks, this loud screeching sound will be heard as tourists wander around the Hollywood/Highland area. No need to be alarmed, that’ll just be Vanessa Hudgens paining the universe with her rendition of Mimi in the Hollywood Bowl production of Rent!
Poor Jonathan Larson. He never wanted it to come to this.
Anyway, with not too much time left until curtain up, Vanessa was asked how she is gearing up for the role. She admits that while actual rehearsals haven’t started yet, she has been preparing on her own by memorizing the songs.
Whoa! Did you decide that all on your own, bb?! We’re impressed!
Vanessa was also asked about what she thought of the highly controversial role she would be playing. She explained:
“Oh my god, I love the part of Mimi. She├óΓé¼Γäós a phenomenal character, she├óΓé¼Γäós such an amazing art, gets the best songs, and it├óΓé¼Γäós just a lot of fun.”
No argument from us. She’s one of our fave characters, which is why if you eff it up, we will never forgive you!
Oh yeah, and break a leg! (Seriously)
