As we previously mentioned, Vera Wang will soon be offering her wedding dresses through retail giant, David’s Bridal.
The dresses will be retailing for less than $2,000 each and will be available in sizes 0 to 30.
And now Wang is speaking out about her latest business venture. Says Vera:
“It├óΓé¼Γäós been in the works a very, very, very long time. Part of the joy is that, with their power as retailers, I can create outside of the $20,000 range.
I think it├óΓé¼Γäós time to get more than 10,000 women a year, you know? Why should price dictate if you have great taste? I don├óΓé¼Γäót believe in that.”
Neither do the thousands of other brides you’ll be making happy.
And although Wang doesn’t know yet how the look of her new line will differ, she reveals:
“I├óΓé¼Γäóm fairly good at adapting. But it├óΓé¼Γäós great. It├óΓé¼Γäós very freeing. At the upper end, I always have to keep the ball rolling and it├óΓé¼Γäós pretty heavy-duty lifting. David Bridal├óΓé¼Γäós is going to be play. But the audience is very full. So all of that development, twenty years of my life ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ my design team, technical knowledge ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ I can just take advantage of it now.”
Can’t wait to see what she creates!
