It’s been 3 years since the Best Friends Animal Society rescued 22 dogs from a cruel and violent world of dog fighting that NFL player Michael Vick had trapped them in.
Since then, many have overcome their violent pasts and have become the lovable dogs they were meant to be.
Check out the video (above) in which the shelter’s manager John Garcia talks about some of his favorite rehabilitated “Vicktory Dogs” like Curly, Little Red, Handsome Dan, Squeaker, and Georgia who have made dramatic recoveries, despite their tragic history.
Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah is the country’s largest no-kill shelter, which is on a mission they call No More Homeless Pets.
This update is so heartwarming and proves that animals just need love to overcome abuse and can become fantastic pets!
