Things are going really well for Victoria Beckham!
The designer appears on the cover of the July issue of Elle Singapore, and has a lot of great things to say about her company!
Not only are her online sales booming, but she’s also set to open her first brick-and-mortar boutique in London before the end of this year!
She said:
“We have five categories now: The main line, VVB [Victoria by Victoria Beckham], denim, eyewear [which includes optical eyewear] and also handbags. We’ve started pre-collections as well, over the past few seasons. E-commerce is doing very, very well. We’re going to open our first flagship store in London, which I’m very excited about.”
We can’t wait till she opens a store stateside, too!
The former Spice Girl expands upon her role in her company, admitting:
├óΓé¼┼ôI just like to be very involved with every element of my business. And I have a great team of people that work with me. But I├óΓé¼Γäóm very, very involved. My name is on the label, I have a point of view. And it├óΓé¼Γäós important that it comes from me. I don├óΓé¼Γäót want to hand that over to anybody else. I wouldn├óΓé¼Γäót know how to…├óΓé¼┬¥
Furthermore, the 40-year-old describes how she imagines the typical Victoria Beckham-wearing woman, saying:
“I think that she’s a woman that wants to look good. Appreciates luxury. Likes fashion. I want to make a woman feel her best. I want to empower women.”
She also insists that she’s actually a very funny and happy person, saying:
“People are probably surprised that I have a sense of humour. I like to take the mickey out of myself. As much as I take what I do very seriously, I also want to have fun. I like to poke fun at myself… And I think that surprises people.”
