Dominique Ansel is going a little overboard with his voracious protection of his baby, the Cronut!
He might be the only one to make the original in the correct manner, but who’s to say that someone trying to make a knock-off hasn’t actually stumbled upon a superior version??
So we’re gonna go ahead and give Victoria Beckham a break for tweeting about eating a ‘cronut’ even though it wasn’t the trademarked version Ansel made (and subsequently called her out for not having)!
She tweeted the pic (above), which look a lot like Cronuts and are probably pretty decent Croissant/Donut hybrids, but she made the mistake of saying ‘Cronut’ even though Ansel has the term trademarked. BIG DEAL.

Relax, man! We know you REALLY want to make all the money and limit the world’s enjoyment of any form of Cronuts, but come on!
That’s a little ridic, and it sounds like he’s convinced that he’s making something that isn’t even a donut at all when let’s face it: it’s just a donut!
