We’re not sure what Viola Davis was expecting for her 50th birthday, but it certainly wasn’t a surprise party!
The Emmy nominee actually celebrated the milestone age back on August 11, but this weekend, she walked into a birthday bash thrown by some close friends, and she TOTALLY wasn’t in on it! LOL!

When she showed up to Hutchinson Cocktails & Grill in LA, she probably figured she was going to have a low-key dinner. But instead, people were popping bottles of champagne and chowing down on some tasty treats!
Seriously. Viola was SO shocked! Just take a look at her face (below)!
Awwwww! Her reaction is just the BEST!
Happy belated birthday, lady! You’re totally looking FAB at 50!
