Most recently, we got news that the spinoff was going to be a prequel AND take place in Los Angeles which is so freakin’ GREAT.

Prior to that, the casting of the male lead — none other than Gangland‘s Cliff Curtis — was announced along with the young leads, Harry Potter alum Frank Dillane and Into The Woods’ Alycia Debnam Carey!
Well, NOW we’ve got the female lead for the show and she’s got some pretty big credentials!
It’s Kim Dickens!
Don’t recognize the name?
Well, you might remember her as the detective in Gone Girl alongside Ben Affleck! OR you might know her from her role as Colette Jane on Sons of Anarchy!
Talk about some perfect casting! She’s so good at being a badass!
This only makes us even MORE excited for the spinoff/prequel to eventually come!
