First you pass Prop 8, and now this?
The California DMV has granted Nick Hogan a driver’s license, devoid of any of the restrictions his probationary Florida license is under.
Following Nick’s “no contest” plea to felony reckless driving charges connected to a horrific car crash that left his friend John Graziano permanently brain damaged, Nick had his license revoked for three years. He was later granted a hardship license in Florida to drive.
Initially, the California DMV said that it would not recognize Nick’s license, making it illegal for him to drive anywhere in the state.
But Nick has now been granted his license, with his lawyer explaining, “California is one of the states that looks at the fact that he had a valid license in Florida, albeit with certain restrictions, but they don’t recognize those restrictions. So, he’s given a full license to drive in California.”
Way to go California!
The roads won’t be safe for drivers…or cyclists…or pedestrians!
