Scary!
While on the way to Boston via Toronto Sunday morning, Weezer‘s bus slid off the road just outside of Albany, New York after hitting a patch of ice!
Lead singer Rivers Cuomo complained of rib pain at the scene and was quickly transferred to the hospital. His wife Kyoko and two-year-old daughter Mia were also on board, but they were not injured in the accident.
One of the band’s assistants was also taken to the hospital after experiencing back pain.
A policeman at the scene said that it was amazing the bus didn’t flip over! What a relief!
Drummer Josh Freese explained on Twitter that there are “some injuries, but everyone’s alive and in one piece.”
We hope Rivers and anyone else that was harmed recovers quickly!
